Angel Island poem

Hey! sorry I havent posted in a while, I've been deep in thought! I wrote a poem for my soacil studies class! so here it is!
The heavenly angels did not sing.
No beam of light was shown.
The church bells did not ring
This angel had us owned

Thrown into rooms like shipping crates,
sharing a strangers breath.
In rooms filled with hate,
no happiness, no rest.

Why are we treated differently?
I ask myself day by day.
They say were different.
Curse this angel in our way!

  1. Oooooo...beautiful and haunting.

  2. I love this poem, Lou. My favorite couplet is "Thrown into rooms like shipping crates, / sharing a stranger's breath." My twelve year old wrote those lines? Dang! You're a poet, hon!
